The sales and installation process

Survey

One of our trained consultants will come to your home, assess your needs, measure your stairs and look at what stairlift would suit you best. They are there to answer any questions or concerns you might have.

The consultant will then give you a fixed written quotation for the whole job. There's no obligation on you whatsoever after this.

Stairs with corners or bends will require a more detailed survey because we always ensure absolute safety. We use our state-of-the-art digital survey equipment to make a custom rail specifically tailored to your staircase.

Design

Once we've reviewed your exact needs we can provide you with an all-inclusive quotation to install the stairlift.

Should you then decide to proceed with the purchase, we design rails specifically tailored to your staircase.

We custom-make our rails to fit the exact dimensions of a particular staircase, so the stairlift can travel round bends and negotiate landings and corridors.

You can see the Stannah stairlift range at any of our showrooms around the country or at an exhibition Stannah are attending.

Supply

We manufacture your stairlift ourselves, ensuring that the quality of every part is of the highest standard.

Rails for straight stairlifts are usually available from stock.

A curved stairlift will have a tailor made, bespoke rail and will be delivered in 18 working days from the date of order.

Installation

Stannah stairlifts are fitted to the actual stairs, not the wall, which makes the process quick, clean and simple.

Trained technicians will install your stairlift with minimum fuss and at a time convenient to you, within a day. Our Technicians will bring two pairs of shoes, one pair for outdoors and a clean pair for indoors.  Before they leave, they test the stairlift thoroughly, ensure it is working perfectly and show you exactly how to operate it.

We will also give you a manual which shows you step-by-step how to use the stairlift.
