The Think Again Fund

The launch of the Stannah Stairlifts 'Think Again Fund' has called upon people to literally 'Think Again' about their unfulfilled dreams - the fund enables those with a life-long dream the opportunity to make it happen.

We launched the Think Again Fund in response to a poll we conducted amongst over 50's that revealed two thirds regret not having pursued their dreams when younger, but almost all would seize the chance now if given the opportunity.

The fund’s aim is to give older people in the UK the opportunity to apply for money and assistance to help them live out an unfulfilled dream - whether that is piano lessons, learning a foreign language or taking a hot air balloon ride.

So far successful winners have scaled a mountain, driven a race car, learnt how to drive a horse and carriage and jumped out of a plane, among others. If you would like to appy for the fund, please donwload the form and send it to us.

86 year old RAF veteran Derick Davenport, from Hampshire, applied to the fund with a thrilling Derrick Davenport parachutingrequest to carry out his life long dream of parachuting, as despite serving in the Royal Air Force during World War II, he never managed to make that jump.

Derick said "I can't believe I've been chosen.  This really is a dream come true for me.  I was an RAF pilot during WWII and came very close to making a jump once but unfortunately it ended up not happening.  At the age of 86 it's quite something,"
